Study with a Tree
What we do

TEEMO’s “Study with a Tree” project combines education and environmental stewardship by creating outdoor learning spaces surrounded by nature. This initiative aims to foster a deeper connection between students and the environment while promoting eco-friendly practices and environmental awareness.
This project was established by TEEMO in collaboration with UNEP and Global Youth Parliament.The project have been focused on young scholars in primary and secondary school enhancing planting trees and caring for their trees throughout their days at school.
Aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 15 (Life on Land), this initiative highlights the importance of learning in harmony with nature. It also includes tree-planting activities, emphasizing the role of trees in combating climate change and maintaining biodiversity.
Currently, the project is covering 8 primary and 7secondary schools in Ubungo district, Gairo District and Dodoma Urban. More than 15,000 trees have been planted under this project reaching out to more than 15,200 students.
