Marine Conservation

What we do

TEEMO is dedicated to protecting marine ecosystems, recognizing their vital role in maintaining biodiversity, supporting livelihoods, and mitigating climate change. Our marine conservation initiatives focus on safeguarding critical habitats such as coral reefs, mangroves, and seagrass beds, which are essential for marine life and coastal communities. These efforts also extend to protecting endangered marine species, combating pollution, and promoting sustainable fishing practices.

We align our initiatives with international frameworks such as the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 14 (Life Below Water) and the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), which emphasize conserving and sustainably using marine resources. By working with global partners, local communities, and scientific experts, we implement strategies to restore degraded habitats, mitigate the impacts of human activities, and raise awareness about the importance of ocean health.

In collaboration with organizations like the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and regional marine conservation bodies, TEEMO also leads education and capacity-building programs. These empower coastal communities to adopt sustainable practices while advocating for stronger environmental policies. Together, we aim to create a future where marine ecosystems thrive for generations to come.
